Independence Day is a time to come together, celebrate our nation’s birthday and the wonderful opportunities it gives us and of course enjoy lots of delicious foods. Here are a few recipes that are sure to delight our taste buds and maybe even make your campsite the most popular one on the campground.

Patriotic Pretzel Bites

The perfect combination of sweet and salty. These bites combine delicious M&M’s with bite sized pretzels and sweet white candy melts. They’re super easy to make and can even be put together by the kids with some supervision.

Creamy Margarita Popsicles

This one is for the adults in your group. These adorable pops are refreshing, creamy and sweet thanks to the use of sweetened, condensed milk and of course include tequila. You can even add in your favorite fruit huice to mix the flavor up a little.

Patriotic Puppy Chow

This is a great dish to make ahead of time and in large batches so you can share it with people around you. Pack it up and bring it to the fireworks show or simply take it to a potluck for a quick and easy treat that everyone can enjoy.

Red, White and Blue Cheesecake

Pretty much the only thing that can make July 4th better is cheesecake. This cheesecake is super easy to make and pays homage to the holiday by sporting a super fun red, white and blue layering.

One Step Ice Cream Sandwiches

Don’t have much time? Pick up some ice cream sandwiches and roll the sides in red, white and blue sprinkles. Place on a plate, cover with plastic wrap and set in the freezer until you are ready to serve.
